Creperie
Beer and wine only
Right in the heart of the Mission's 16th street, Ti Couz('s?)
non-reservation policy means putting your name on their chalkboard
and hoping for the best. I've never had to wait for more than
fifteen minutes, and the wait has always been well worth it.
The Ambience:
This two room restaurant has a wine/beer bar in one room and
an open kitchen in the other. It's always crowded and
noisy, but don't let that fool you.
The Menu:
Crepes, crepes crepes. Savory, sweet, make your own or pick
an exciting one. $3-$7. Also, for the non-crepe buff, the menu
allows you to catch up on your crepe history.
The Food:
I always kick it off with an average, fresh salad. Their crepes
are thin and delicious, but if you get one without a sauce,
beware: it will be dry. The mushroom sauce is incredible, so
it would do you good to at least get a side of it. Tasty ciders
and bread too. I hear their dessert crepes are out of site,
but I have yet to indulge.
The Service:
Amazingly, for all the activity, I've never had a problem.
I've always been well taken care of and received everything
in a timely manner. They're usually friendly too.
Reservations: Not accepted.
Overall: A-
If it weren't so damn crowded, I'd eat there all
the time.
