The Ramp's claim to fame is their large waterfront patio. Dining is available during breakfast and lunch, and the bar is open til 8. I hear on Sundays they offer salsa music and a barbecue.

The Ambience:
I was there on a Friday afternoon and the joint was hopping. The view is spectacular, all the way across the bay on a clear day. Sitting in the sun with a cocktail or burger ain't a bad afternoon.

The Menu:
Hm. You gotta think of it like a sports bar. The menu has burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips and the like. $6-$9. Standard fair.

The Food:
Well, they sure do know how to fry to perfection. My club sandwich was very good. My friend got the chicken breast sandwich, and the chicken was falling off the plate. The fries are curly. What more can I say?

Oh, except the iced tea was like lemon water.

The Service:
If it weren't for the service, I probably wouldn't be writing a review of The Ramp. Our guy? He tried. He seemed to be very busy and working hard. But it took us close to half an hour to get our drinks. By that time, people seated after us already had their drinks and food. No no no!

Reservations: Not necessary.

Overall: B-
It's a really tasty sports bar with some not so tasty service.
